Preparing Advice For Studio or Location Shoot:
 Please
consider where you would like to have your session and discuss your preferences
and expectations. Choose a place that reflects your personality and lifestyle with
comfort. This will help you to relax and show you in the best light. The magic hours
just before sunset provide the most beautiful lighting for outdoor portraits. These
portraits reflect how times changes so quickly on us in unpredictable ways. And
if you wanted to add a twist, perhaps sometimes fantasy is just more appealing.
Display your creative side for yourself and others!
All photos will have minor photo retouching (coverage of blemishes) and major for
any packages ordered. Location or studio sessions are usually 30 minutes to two
hours in length. This way if a child is involved he/she will not be rushed allowing
for casual and relaxed photographs. We tend to steer away from traditional portraits
(everyone smiling at the camera) however, when photographing family portraits certain
amounts of this is inevitable.
It is recommended that you keep clothing simple. Large prints or overwhelming bright
colors and logos are discouraged. Color choices should compliment each other and
Feel free to bring a variety of clothing. And when dealing with children don’t hesitate
to bring along there favorite toy, blanket or stuffed animal. Please try to avoid
fresh haircuts and your dogs and cats are part of the family and are always welcomed.
And if you are expecting a newborn and would like creative pictures please call
within the first month of birth. Newborns are tiny and the tinier the better to
deal with when they are sleeping. They also grow fast and tend to get baby acne/or
cradle cap can start to form.
Your photos will never be used unless a model release form is signed. Your name
is never used in association with images. If you have any concerns with signing
a release or any additional questions regarding this, please call.
Finally our discounted rate is designed for any returning customers. If you have
baby children we recommend that they be photographed at 3,6,9,12,15,18 and 24 months and continuing on in years. Your child will change more during the first two years
than in there lifetime. Returning will entitle you to major discounted session fees.
Your session fee will be required at time of session by cash or cheque and your
print order balance paid in full by delivery.
If you do book an appointment in studio or on location and you or your family member
becomes ill or conflict in schedule- please respect our photographer and call in
immediately.
